CHOPTA
Chopta, also known as the’mini Switzerland’ of Uttarakhand, is a paradise in the Garhwal Himalayas, located at an altitude of 2,608 m. It offers a pleasant summer, rain-free monsoon, and snow-clad winter. The area is home to the Panch Kedar, the five most sacred Shiva temples in Uttarakhand, and is a birding paradise with over 240 species of birds, including native and migratory species like Himalayan monal, swiftlet, griffon, scarlet finch, and hill partridge.
